Snapdragons (Antirrhinum majus) have been cultivated since the Roman Empire and were historically believed to ward off evil. The Snapstar Champ cultivar is a modern breed designed for its unique pastel tones and resilience in both gardens and floral work.
Climate:Cool to mild weather
GROWING CONDITIONS
Snapdragons prefer full sun and well-drained, slightly alkaline soil (pH 6.2–7.0). Best grown in cooler seasons as they thrive in 10°C to 24°C. Regular watering is required, particularly during blooming, but they must not sit in soggy soil.
Symbol:Pressure, Strength, and Deference
USES
Highly favoured for their height and shape, Snapdragons are often used in structural floral designs to add vertical interest. The champagne variety softens any arrangement, making it perfect for romantic, vintage-inspired weddings or neutral-toned interior florals. Combines beautifully with roses, stock, and eucalyptus.
